just chuffed it's fixed on the plus side I have familiarised my self with the manual, not exactly a great evening read after a hard days work. better get me some boiler cover ... anyone you experts would recommend ?

it was the simplest thing , I'm an idiot ! checked the cupboard where the gas meter is, the Mrs has sat a small cardboard box in it which had leaned on the supply lever. turned it round and -SORTED. feel a bit of a tw@t now. :oops:

ferroli optima 700. I've posted previously with an other issue (unable to get decent hot water flow) and now this has happened. Was going to order new HW and CH temp. sensors but not sure what to do now ...

this is a sudden development though, definately not firing up as strong as it normally would ...

what would cause this ? CH isn't as warm either. looks like it isn't burning the same volume of gas ...

anyone ? what would cause a change in flame intensity ? the flame is blue with no visible yellow.

new developments ; I had been able to obtain some hot water if I opened the tap just a little. Took ages to run a bath but it was workable. Came home tonight and was unable to get any hot water at all and noticed that the boiler is definately not firing up with same intensity as it normally...

don't suppose you could be arsed to give me a step by step guide to do this ? do I have to drain the system for example ? do those sensors screw right into the pipe ? i.e when I remove one does this mean water will start to pee out. sorry about my complete lack of no how :oops:

had to change the PCB over a year ago, still unsure about whether this really needed doing as the bloke didn't fill me with confidence. Apart from that I have had nothing done. Obviously in need of a service, but unfortunately money is very scarce right now ( "re-organisation" at work has left...

if I have the hot water tap open just a little I can manage to get some actual hot water, but if I open it to a usable amount - instant lukewarm water.

the heating isn't on though, just the hot water.

dire need of some help here guys so please furnish me with youe views and expertise. The boiler fires up when I demand hot water, the LED all seem in order, but I can get no hot water except the initial burst of very hot water . what's going on ? where is the heat going if the boiler...

the manual says Optima 700. I had difficulty finding info on the 700.

Hello hoping someone can help and advise me on a few points, we have a Ferroli optima 700 (no idea how old ). It currently gives us CH no problem but as of 3 days ago it only gives lukewarm water after an initial burst of hot. any pointers on what might be causing it ? how much it might cost...
