Replacing Plastic Inspection Chamber with Metal

Thanks guys. I actually got it done with a different one. Of course the damned thing was bigger so I had to cut the bricks. Crap job done but at least it's done. Thanks.

Replacing Plastic Inspection Chamber with Metal

I need help guys. We had a plastic inspection chamber on the drive which my van wheel smashed though. I want to replace with with a metal one. See attached photos. The metal one is the same 300mm size but I'm not sure if I can just cement it down as is or if I should have a sleeve type thing...

Right tool to cut half partition wall lower?

You should have seen the mess I made when I cut the quartz counter top hole bigger for the induction hob with the angle grinder. It's still in every orifice 18 months later.

Thanks. I think I'll buy a multi tool to expose the stud work and go from there.

Right tool to cut half partition wall lower?

Thanks for the reply. Yes it's just plasterboard and metal studwork (shame its not wood). I've actually got a decent reciprocating saw but I fear trying to cut it all off at once is a bad shout. Joist & Hanger Recommendations for Garage

The bricks are perforated or engineering bricks meaning that there are three big holes in the middle. They may be full of mortar but might not be. I've researched a lot and this seems the safest solution ..... https://www.rawlplug.co.uk/product/r-kem-ii-with-threaded-rods-for-masonry/

Joist & Hanger Recommendations for Garage

No idea. :-/ They are going into engineering bricks which will be a bugger to drill. I'll check the specs. Cheers.

The biggest issue I'm having now is sourcing the right joist/hanger combination. You'd think that's be the easy bit! I want ones to bolt into masonry with M12 bolts.
