I need help guys. We had a plastic inspection chamber on the drive which my van wheel smashed though.

I want to replace with with a metal one. See attached photos. The metal one is the same 300mm size but I'm not sure if I can just cement it down as is or if I should have a sleeve type thing like on the old plastic one for it to screw or sit in.

Photos attached. Any help appreciated.

That metal one will, I am afraid, probably soon buckle under the weight of your van, they're only really designed for pedestrian traffic. I'd look at the options for something more heavy duty, whether you want the recessed type to then fill to match the existing paving is up to you, but they are available to take the weight. https://www.drainagesuperstore.co.u...holes-and-grates/recessed-manhole-covers.html

Thanks guys. I actually got it done with a different one. Of course the damned thing was bigger so I had to cut the bricks. Crap job done but at least it's done. Thanks.
