    I am installing a new washing machine and it only requires a cold water supply. The old machine had both hot and cold water supply. The hot water supply that is no longer required even though the valve is turned off. Is there anything I can do to stop this? can I 'cap' it Any help...

    I've put a new water inlet thing in the toilet, which seems to work Ok, but is a bit noisy but now it leaks from the connection of the water inlet pipe that sticks out of the bottom of the cistern and the copper water pipe, i've undone the connection nd looked to see if any bit of grit or dust...

    Its a Jollifill from B&Q. It seems to be leaking from the inlet valve where the water pipe joins. I've already tightened this. Also I did put a red spiral thing in the inlet pipe but had to guess at the water pressure so went for the highest / longest option
