    Sometimes with the old plaster with cracks you can use thick lining paper to keep wall in one piece but if you would made partition from plasterboars it want be a problem with cracks? Is that correct?

    So another question. Bonding on the wood after few months or years it could be more cracks coz is very hard, plasterboars have the paper on the top. Or maybe I'm wrong.

    I'm not saying is roller will be good for architrave. Read carefully. Roller can help you to paint faster flat ares for example on paneled doors.

    I may have some advice for you. My dad is using the plastic mesh. It is also good for that types of surfaces

    How about the walls are they build of plasterboards? If it's 10 yo it means almost new so sometimes is good just to fill it by caulk and then paint it

    For example B&Q water based gloss - you need to use good brush and work fast otherwise you will leave brush marks coz the paint is drying really fast. Similar situation with other water based glosses. Is good idea if you need decorate house but the kids are there or any animals, but water based...

    You should't screw it to joist cos is not really solid and you can get some cracks in the future cos they are used for the floor above.

    Ok my advice. If you going to change te color from light to dark there's no proble 2 coats should be enough but from darker to lighter you should use 2 coats of white but not cheap needs to be good quality and than probably next two of your color

    In my opinion the best is to remove totally old ceiling to see the joist. 1 don't screw it plasterboards directly to joist 2 if you going to use plasterboards why skimming better do jointing with tappered edge boards 3 don't use any wood the best is metal as on the photo available in Selco...

    Richard why you recommending to skimm the plasterboards. Customer will spend more money to pay for materials and labour?
