    Ring Doorbell Alternative

If I had POE at the front door I’d have gone with Unifi but alas I don’t. I had ring for about a year but literally just moved to the Eufy. Like that there is a Homebase and subscription free with local storage that is upgradable. Early days for me with Eufy, so time will tell but so far so...

    Wiring ICON15 with Timer

Got it installed and it appears to be working. Will need to increase the length of the wires so the icon logo is at the bottom but does anyone have an idea how I can cover up those holes … the square edges behind the fan from the old one. I’m thinking silicone or something like that.

Extractor Fans (Bathroom) - New Build

Hi All, I was hoping someone could give me some advise. Recently moved into a new build and having lived here for the past few months I kept wondering where the constant cold air was coming from and then it dawned on me; the bloody extractor fans they put in. There’s one in each bathroom...

Help appreciated with Ethernet cable / Second router

Can you share the model number. I agree it should be blue; I have two of those although have a lot of their other kit with the management interface built in (Dream Machine Pro), but as others have indicated, that’s not needed as you can manage them independent. The orange means it’s waiting...

I’m no expert in this but … I moved into a new build and the gas / electric meters were installed be E-on too. When I moved, I switched to Octopus (better rates, etc.) Been a busy few months but got sometime in December to look at a few things and then I noticed that my gas bill were...

upgrading heating control to smart - complete newbie!

I’m no expert in this department but what helped me was googling and then finding the manuals and installation documents for my existing system to understand how it worked. What’s the wiring behind the wall plate on the left. Maybe you can post the actual names / model numbers of your...

    Inhibitor

@Johntheo5 I realised after asking the question, it was an absolutely daft question; yeah I know you leave it in ... guess I was trying to work out, after I do it, how long to leave the rads / HW on for it to initially circulate, but as you say, that doesn't matter as it lives in the system...

    Inhibitor

@Johntheo5 Thanks mate, have 18 rads, so from some reading, suggests 2x 1ltr bottles of the stuff. Any recommendations on how long to run through?

    Inhibitor

Just a quick question, I have a 2 zone heating system, upstairs and downstairs are separate zones. Am I correct that I just need to put the inhibitor into a rad in one of the zones and it’ll just flow through or does each zone need an inhibitor added.
