Two Queries on Replacing a Gas Boiler

Almost not strictly DIY but I hope someone can offer some opinions. 1. I have an old (probably 15years +) Saunier Daval gas boiler that supplies my heating and hot water. I live in a converted flat so have no water tank, the water is heated as it comes through. It is virtually impossible to...

felix: I am in a block of three flats (a conversion). There is a stopcock on the kitchen pipes, I'll try turning it off and seeing what happens. I don't understand though why I would still have hot water and not cold if the supply has been turned off? PEDANTICVINDICTIVEMAN: Thats helpful...

    Suddenly stiff kitchen tap

Thanks for your advice ChrisR and htgeng. PEDANTICVINDICTIVEMAN will be thrilled to hear that I don't have a big enough wrench to take the tap off - I took a guess that that was the way to take a tap apart - so tomorrow I guess I'll either have to buy a bigger tool, or a new tap. I'm slightly...

    Suddenly stiff kitchen tap
