Had a Grant Vortex oil boiler fitted and all seems fine apart from when I open the cold taps the boiler will fire up. It's not heating the cold water so why does it fire up? Thanks.

Sorry it's not gas, it's oil and I know it should've been done but the bloke who was supposed to commision it got taken to hospital. Is it still unsafe to use as it's oil?

It hasn't been comissioned yet as the plumber that installed it wasn't qualified to do it and I'm still waiting for someone to come and do it. I'll give it another week then call someone else in to do it.
