    Gate posts

    I'm hanging some gates at the trip of my drive between 2 brick pillars which are 1 1/2 brick. And was wondering if anyone new whether or not I need to dig out post holes or whether I can just bolt them straight to the pillars. One of the gates is around 6'x3' the other about 6x6. Any advice...

    cast iron radiator leaking!

    The reason i think it's a whole is because it's round and hole shaped. It is on a combi system so will prob go for the tap and screw route providing i can get through the gap with a tapping bit. Cheers.

    not really comfortable taking the sections out myself wouldn't know where to start and wouldn't want to end up causing more damage. The hole's on the second section about half way up.

    Thanks for all the advice it's a 4 column rad so the hole isn't easily accessible have been reading up on jb weld does anyone have any thoughts on using an epoxy to seal it.

    Just one more thing to add to this then. Can you have too many bends as there will be about 6 in the right hand stack and 4 in the left one.

    I need to put a double branch into my soil stack near ground level and just wondered if there was a minimum height it would have to be from the ground. It will eventually be going under a floor as i'm extending out where it is, hence the reason it needs to be near to the ground.

    Big or small?

    I recently put a thread on about a conservatory and was just after a bit of advice really. Are you better off going with the big companies offering massive gaurantees and you've got come backs. Or the small recomended one man band who'll probably offer you the same.
