Hi Thanks for the suggestions. Yes the motor sounds OK, but the new brushes do sound a little like a bicycle chain as it turns. Yes I have tried it empty of clothes and water - still wont spin. I did check the pump and there did not seem to be a blockage. Any ideas??

Thanks Leccy, I will check the Brushes. But surely if the machine does turn initially to complete the wash cycle then it cant be the brushes - or can it?

Hi can anyone help? The heading says it all my washing machine goes through the wash cycle OK but wont spin. The water drains out, but when it tries to spin the drum moves slightly then it stops, makes a few noises and tries again. This continues until I manually switch of the machine...
