    Dog Fence Help Please

You could try taking the spade off your dog! Seriously though, I used a similar approach to the flagstones, but instead used breeze blocks as they are thicker than flagstones.

    Back boiler removal

That was mine taken out on the bottom left of the pic. It makes a bit of a mess!! Only two pipe connections to remove though - but watch out for the possible water cascade!

Trianco/Iona Locks out on first startup

Indeed Boilerman2 - and I am grateful for the time guys have taken to to post and the suggestions they have made. BTW, I had checked the oil flow up to the pump, as I mentioned in an earlier post, so I knew that was ok. As slapper said in an earlier post, this was the kind of fault that...

Trianco/Iona Locks out on first startup

Well I have to say that I don't agree with you there - nothing has been changed on this boiler for the nine years it has been in service! Whilst I am grateful for pointers from everyone, it seems that if I changed everything, then any problem would be solved! If I did change...

    Not particularly - well I haven't noticed - why?

Trianco/Iona Locks out on first startup

Despite the gap specification for the electrodes being 3mm and 6mm from the nozzle hole, I have set the 3mm gap smaller and tried different distances from the nozzle, and so far (3 days) it seems to be firing ok!

HONDA heated electric wing mirror and brakelights

Brake lights do come on when ignition is off - well all the new Civics do anyway - or at least mine and my son-in-laws deffo do!

    Punto windscreen linkage repair.

I've repaired both sides on my wife's car with a bit of stiff wire I had lying around at the time on one side, and cable ties on the other (you can buy a lot of cable ties for £20 Nitromick). If I have to do the repair often (so far the first one has lasted over a year!), then I was thinking...

Trianco/Iona Locks out on first startup

I don't have a suitable pressure gauge, but fuel supply doesn't seem a problem. The nozzle is about 8 years old but is clean (well I have cleaned it), and there is fuel on it. I hate intermittent faults - its been absolutely fine today. I rather think its an ignition fault - that's why its...

Trianco/Iona Locks out on first startup

Oh dear - bit premature with the euphoria! Back to the drawing board. It didn't fire up first time this evening, however it did on reset, so it can't be broken really!!

Trianco/Iona Locks out on first startup

Woohoo - started first time this morning. I'll keep my fingers crossed for the next few days though!

Trianco/Iona Locks out on first startup

Good job I've had a No2 all over, otherwise I wouldn't have any hair left! Checked everything I can - oil flow from tank - stripped pump and cleaned it - cleaned pump filter - checked solenoid - primed pump. Deffo getting a wet nozzle, so that seems ok. Checked photoelectric cell and that's...

Trianco/Iona Locks out on first startup

It is an indoor boiler, the motor spins ok - blowing fine. Seemingly no sign of ignition, and then it locks out. It starts second time after the reset switch is pushed in. I wonder if it is the oil valve, that sticks when the boiler has been off for a few hours?

Not last summer - is that relevant? It has been fine all winter until this last week.

Trianco/Iona Locks out on first startup

I have an Trianco 100/125 (Travis Perkins Iona actually) oil central heating boiler, which locks out on first start up of the day. It then starts up fine for the rest of the day! Having searched several forums/topics, it seems that this is unusual as most boilers display this type of fault...
