    glow-worm betacom 30 pressure problem/ please help.

Sounds as if your expansion vessel is gone, this is a part of the boiler that takes up the expansion of the water as it heats up. You could drain the boiler and check the pressure in the vessel using a car tyre pump with a guage on it (should be about 1 bar), there should be a small valve on...

    Urgent boiler recommendation required

Sounds like a good price to me, although we would always recommend a magnetic filter of some description on the pipework , also a power flush of the existing system. Also the boiler would need to be registered with building control. As for the boiler, 24KW is a little small, maybe look at the...

Best place to buy Vaillant boilers

We have fitted 120+ Vaillants in the past two years, only had one which has needed a warranty call in that time, also putting 7 year warranty on the plus range now. Fantastic boilers.

    bar shower fixing kit

With the pl8, I believe you have to use the supplied fittings because you are connecting to 15mm copper tube rather than a threaded connection. I have never had a problem with the seals though, always been good. They are that shape so you can hold them with a spanner whilst doing up the...

2 room stats in a normal open vented system

Roomstats are normally connected to motorised valves to create zones, why complicate things with a second stat. Just move the existing stat to the lounge?

Do I need a flue inspection hatch?

If it is room sealed it will fall into the new regulations for TB008 which require the flue to be accessible, From your description it would appear that your appliance is open flue, so would not need access hatches put in as these flues are checked in a different way.

Triton Jade problem - burnt cable on outlet TCO

You could try and fix it, but this is a Homebase model. They dont seem to last as long as some others. I replaced one a couple of weeks ago and it was only £75 and a straight swap. Might be easier to go down that route. Replacement was a Jade 3,the new model. If shower is over a couple of...

Worcester 19/24CBiFON-NG Leaking - Please help

I know the timing is not good, but these things always seem to happen at the most inconvenient times :( As said before, you must not use it with covers removed, I have seen small leaks on the heat exchanger block the airways with scale making the boiler burn producing a lot of carbon...

Worcester 19/24CBiFON-NG Leaking - Please help

It sounds as if you have already removed the combustion chamber cover to me. It would appear that your main Heat exchanger has got a leak or could be a fitting in the general area. My recommendation would be to get a registered gas installer round to take a look at it. You should not use the...
