    Disable Texecom PIR status lights

Think I've done it. Move JP2 across and LEDs have gone out. Thank you for the tip.

    Disable Texecom PIR status lights

Recently moved our lounge furniture around, and we're now facing the PIR in the corner. Trouble is, every time we move on the sofa the PIR status lights show (green, yellow, red). Is there a jumper to disable the status lights, or maybe a setting in control panel please? The PIR are wired.

    Boiler Minimum Flow Rate

Why would that be? The bypass would still allow flow, right. And it wouldn't be lit-off if there wasn't a call for heat and therefore zone value open anyway..

    Boiler Minimum Flow Rate

Reduce noise in my airing cupboard, which is basically a sound box in centre of the house. Current pump is Grundfos UPS 15/50 with fixed bypass (gate) valve. My thinking was to fit a variable speed pump to help reduce noise/vibration even further than just fitting a new pump...

    Boiler Minimum Flow Rate

Really. Through your experience I guess?

    Boiler Minimum Flow Rate

Ok, so what's your issue with variable speed pumps and fixed output boilers?

    Boiler Minimum Flow Rate

I don't want an ABV as pump is going to be a variable speed variety. Either way, is 22.8 l/min the minimum flow to avoid overheat when not calling for heat?

    Boiler Minimum Flow Rate

Yeah rtfm! I did that and it wasn't obvious to me.. :( But I did read that table as the required flow rate when burner is lit. What about minimum flow rate to protect against overheat, when the burner is off? Basically, I'm trying to size a suitable TacoSetter inline valve..

    Boiler Minimum Flow Rate

I'm trying to find out the minimum flow rate (in litres/min) for my Ideal Classic FF 60 boiler: http://idealboilers.com/installer/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2013/08/156647_1.pdf Can anyone point me to the correct part of the manual please? I can't find any reference to a suitable figure..

Texecom with mixed wired and wireless sensors and remote keyfob possible?

I'll shortly be moving house and the new property has a Texecom wired system in place, which is working fine but lacks some modern features I've grown use to having, like GSM SMS updates (remote settings/unsetting) and wireless remote keyfob. (My current property has a Visonic PowerMaster-10 by...

Intergas HRE 18 OV - Fault Code Error 5 - Poor flame signal

Other than a problem with the gas valve I've no further details. I was away on holidays and let the in-laws sit in a freezing cold house waiting for Intergas to arrive ;)

Intergas HRE 18 OV - Fault Code Error 5 - Poor flame signal

Ok, thank you. Gas meter is high up in the garage and lever is fully open. I'll call the office on Monday.

Intergas HRE 18 OV - Fault Code Error 5 - Poor flame signal

Adjustment of the gas valve is detailed in the installers manual, but I won't be doing that because I'm not qualified. At this point I'm interested to understand why it might need adjustment after successful operation for almost a year. Or if anyone has experience of fault code 5 what else it...

Intergas HRE 18 OV - Fault Code Error 5 - Poor flame signal

Boiler installed less than a year ago and been working absolutely fine. Last night we've no heating and notice the boiler is locked and fault code 5 is displayed. Pressing reset button and it goes through firing sequence 3 (vent), 4 (ignition), 5 (CH). Once at 5 you can hear the fan speed...

    Cleaning out cast iron boiler

Hi camerart, so two years on how did this perform please? Have you had to repeat the cleaning since? I'm in a similar position now with kettling/banging boiler noise after I attempted to clean my whole system by running Sentinel X400 round it for a could of weeks. I think all this did was...

Digital pumped shower hot water connection

I'm about to plumb in an Aqualisa Quartz Digital Exposed myself and pondered the same. Read lots of conflicting experiences with regards flanges in general, especially Surrey, so I'm sticking to what Aqualisa recommend and tee straight off the horizontal output, downwards, and then up to loft...

    Cat 5e v's Cat 6?

I've just installed CAT6 in my house. Had some runs going external so bought protected cable from Amazon: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B007VCVODC/ref=wms_ohs_product?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I found the plugs harder to crimp than on 5e. Well the crimping was fine, but the trimming and inserting...
