    Yes Terry in the outside box there a switch after the meter i think. If im going to be going that far i think id just get an electrician in to be safe.

    Dunno if id mess with that to be honest might be a bit beyond my paygrade. Just a matter of isolate the supply to the board by turning off the red switches i guess

    No just the heater, as far as i know anyway. We just notice that after putting it on the switch light is off in the kitchen after a bit. No electric heaters or shower pump installed, i'm trying to think of anything else that would affect it but i cant, every heavy users are on their on spurs

    Lol, terryplumb id love to be able to tell you that but what do you mean "conductors" ? What are you thinking ? I have noticed that it take very little to flip this breaker manually when compared to the cooker one beside it. Clutching here at the minute

    All switches look fresh, no charring of any sorts. Voltages when turned on: Immersion heat stat - live side to element side 240v. turn temperture arrow on stat to i hear a click and voltage to zero across the same. Voltage when off at wall: Zero

    There's no timers, just an on n off switch in the kitchen another one that always on in the airing cupboard that has the flex to the immersion heater. I'll pull off the face plate on the wall switches to check though,maybe a bad connection in there thats causing excessive current to be drawn

    I have cunningly supplied a photo thats makes it impossible to see the words. Clearly states "IMM HEATER" There is no numbers just states "IMM HEATER" exactly like ive taken a photo of.

I removed pump,ring filter cleaned out,wasnt that bad but probably needs replaced to be sure,photo lens removed and cleaned with rubbing alcohol,transformer HT connections buffed up,pump solenoid...
