Yes both was on at the controller, I then turned stat up and down you could hear the click of the stat but nothing from 3 port valve?

Ok I turned on both together hot water and heating and nothing seemed to make ve?

I put heating and hot water on, then turned cylinder stat up and down and nothing moved in the 3 port valve?

Heating is on and lever is loose

Hi I do have an immersion heater fitted but it's on a 30 min/1 hour/2hour switch which is a bit of a pain in the morning as can not be programmed.

Hi thanks, I have hot water only on the programmer and the radiators are not getting hot

Hi thanks yes the lever has resistance you can hear the whirl sound when pushed. The central heating is working too.

Hi My hot water has gone on the blink, I can get central heating but no hot water? It's a normal boiler, gravity fed system with a Honeywell 3 port valve. I assume it's the valve that's gone but how can I make sure? I have turned hot water on with the wall mounted controller and you can hear...

I think I've sorted it! I bought a new pump £400 a negative head one. Fitted it and it was just the same! So I followed the pipe work from the pump and it goes through the ceiling into the attic and there was a NRV. So I removed that and it works! So £400 wasted on a new pump....damn

Ive ordered a new pump an universal head one a Salamander RP100TU, I will have to sell the other pump on eBay!

I did phone Salamander and played them the noise down the phone, the bloke said he has worked for them for 12 years and hes never heard anything like it !
