the water tank has leaked down onto my newly decorated landing and now there is a hole in the plasterboard - will the damp plasterboard dry so that I only have to patch the hole or is it a total re-do? :( Thanks.

I did go to B & Q but they didnt have testers nor could they offer advice today. but I do have an off cut so I shall try a few options out. Thanks

Can anyone help to what to put on my new banister it is a darkish wood, I know it needs sanding I wondered if oil or wax would be ok. Thanks
