I have just changed from the old lead water supply pipe which involved creating a large whole in the asphalted floor. I now need to repair the missing asphalt but do not know the proportions of tar to aggregate(also what type of aggregate). Would anyone happen to know? Have been searching...

I am just installing a new staircase, with a studed partition to one side that has been boarded. Is it ok to attach the stairs stringer on top of the board or do I need to attach it directly to the wood of the partition.(observing fire regs). thanks

I have just fitted a Wocester 240 rsf and having bled the system and pressurised it am left with hot water only ..no problem filling bath.. .on the central heating side the boiler fires up but within a few seconds the thermal protection trips, with the sound of v hot water/steam in the unit...
