Thank you for your reply. I used a bent paper clip. Initially it opened up easily but it was a bit difficult to pull out so maybe I weakened it when pulling it out although I did try to be careful. The sim tray has three sections and the new sim went in the middle of the three.

Thank you for your reply, the TV does work with the aerial direct into one TV so I assumed the aerial was OK. Having said that, the unit came on this afternoon all by itself. I have checked all leads are secure so it seems it is an intermittent fault maybe.
