    Installing wireless roomstat

Went to a 'faulty' boiler yesterday. 3 Amp fuses all over the floor - looked like a clay pigeon shoot. Are you the installer? No I'm the electrician, nothing wrong with the control wiring, must be the pcb! Got my multimeter out and disconected all wiring except L N & E to boiler...

    Glow warm, Belgacom, 24c

Not surprised the 'installer' has vanished - this is a B rated boiler and should of nit been fitted, since October 2010. The boiler will not have been notified to Building Control and was probably fitted by a non registered installer. Glowworm will want to see a completed Benchmark book or...

Temperature control knob on Vaillant eco Tec Plus

If you have a VRC 400 controller the contrrol knobs should be set to MAX as the controller then controls everything. Get your installer to set it up for you and then leave the damn thing alone

Vaillant EcoTEC 837 Major Problem - Flooding

Sounds like the main heat exchanger as said previously - call Vaillant for Instant cover (around £300) as the part is over £400 +vat

    A Vaillant 828 Ecomax

My best guess without being there, is the rubber hose and the copper tubes either side ar blocked. Drain, remove and replace the rubber hose (not dear) and clean the tubes with a bottle brush.

White Towel Rad - More BTU Than Chrome One Of Same Size????

The best heated towel rail on the market is a standard towel rail (or 2) hung over a proper radiator. A warm towel is nice, but a warm room is better! IMHO a fancy towel rail ONLY works if linked to UFH and with an electric heater for use in the warmer month (s) of summer.

    Gloworm Hideaway 50B FF GC No. 41 - 047 - 33

Agree with gaswizzard, too many errors in your testing/post! Servicing or not you ain't Gassafe registered or it is a spoof post. eg. why disconnect the gas valve at the pcb? just pull the plug at the gas valve? Gooonight, I'm out  Btw Gaswizzard pilot ignition is not the same as...

Glow Worm Ultimate 50FF PCB Problem

Not sure if a pcb is needed. A RGI will save you money if it is what I think it is? Are 2 neons on and the third comes on, and the boiler lights, when you tap it?

    BG 330 condensing boiler

How big is your system? ie how many rads? Sounds like the temperature difference between your flow and return is too high. Get a RGI or BG or Glowworm to properly range rate the boiler. If Npower boys don't know how to do it, get them to pay for a manufaturers visit. Might be worth noting a...

Hot Water Pressure Problem Eco Tec Plus 831 Vaillant Boiler

Check your status codes S41 to be precise will stop boiler going to high gas, Try it, or call your senior tec, On latter software boards only. Ramp the pressure right up to 3 bar and check D34 or gas rate it. The flow is being reduce by the OP's thermostatic shower - he's unsure about the flow...

Hot Water Pressure Problem Eco Tec Plus 831 Vaillant Boiler

I think I may have the answer, When the heating is on and hot, is the pressure gauge touching the red? If so, the problem is your expansion vessel is depleted. To explain, when the pressure is too high, the boiler will not go to high gas, Your themostatic shower is reducing the flow to try and...

    Glow worm swift flow e

If it is a flow rate problem through the boiler, regardless of the boiler firing, it will either be a blocked inlet filter or a scaled heat exchanger. If the flow is above 2 l/min and the boiler is not firing it will be a flowswitch problem - easily checked. Does the pump stop running when CH is...

Valliant Ecomax 824E Condensing Combination Boiler

I don't know it all, but I can have an educated guess. It sounds like the diverter valve p/no 252457, is sitciking. Very easy diy change. The vessel is an expansion vessel, when the system is drained, pump this up to 10 psi or 0.8 bar. You can also remove and clean the plate heatexchanger at...

Valliant Ecomax 824E Condensing Combination Boiler

Right, you have the latest and best version of it. What exactly is the problem with it? Definitely repairable whatever it is.

Valliant Ecomax 824E Condensing Combination Boiler

Sounds like you have the down firing one. Does it have a hinged bottom cover (to the side) and a black plastic face with a lcd display? And to confirm you have a problem with the radiators coming on when hot water is drawn. Sorry about delayed reply, had to go and look at a job.
