Kitchen socket failed after wiring in new oven

I've checked them all Silly thought, but during decorating the kitchen was very dusty......can dust cause something like this?

Kitchen socket failed after wiring in new oven

Well I don't know what the hells going on. I tried switching the dryer on when I got home from work, and now everthings working again. Just checked the back of the oven anyway, had the faceplates off and there's no way I could have disturbed any cables. How can an outlet not work for two days...

Kitchen socket failed after wiring in new oven

I swapped it over with the one for the extrator fan, and that still worked ok

Kitchen socket failed after wiring in new oven

If I switch off the oven at the board, everything else still works. Maybe the socket or switch has just died, but seems odd that it was working until I swapped the oven over.

Kitchen socket failed after wiring in new oven

In the fuse board there's "kitchen appliances" which does all the sockets for fridge/washingmachine/tumbledryer/boiler/extractorfan and another one for "oven" which are the three in the photo. Would the middle fuse cause disruption to the dryer outlet? I know where the fuse is for the dryer...

Kitchen socket failed after wiring in new oven

Yeah, oven is in far right. No idea what the middle one was ever used for. Never used it.

Kitchen socket failed after wiring in new oven

No unfortunately not, think it's time to call out an electrician. I'm not sure how the outlet for the dryer and the oven are connected.

Kitchen socket failed after wiring in new oven

Here's a strange one. I've been decorating in the kitchen, and on Saturday morning I swapped over our old oven for a new one. The new oven is working well, but over on the other wall one of the sockets has stopped working. The socket was being used for the tumble dryer, and at first I thought...

Help me resolve a 13yr old problem!! [I'm desperate] Garage access

The parking space is mine. If I owned the worlds smallest car, I would be able to use it  I might pop and see the neighbours over the weekend. See if they have any objections. Whilst the parking space is mine, if I were to have a double garage, the back of the new garage wall would...

No, those two houses are at the back of us on another road. You can't see my house on the photo.

Help me resolve a 13yr old problem!! [I'm desperate] Garage access

Yeah we have the money saved up, but just figuring out all the best options. I have the plans for a double garage by the builders architects already but that's not ideal either. Reducing the depth of the garage, would leave us enough space for junk....bigger turning circle to get the car...

It's supporting the roof that's the problem

Help me resolve a 13yr old problem!! [I'm desperate] Garage access

Oh yeah, it's a nightmare....but thing is, we actually like the house and it's location. It's the only thing we don't like about it but I think a smaller garage would probably work. No idea if it will have an impact on the properties value, but at least we get another usable parking space.

Help me resolve a 13yr old problem!! [I'm desperate] Garage access

Thanks for the reply. Funnily enough, reducing the dept down to something like 2.5m has been our thinking for the past six months. I would prefer the round the corner door option, as we keep the entire size of the garage for storage, and by opening the door would give enough room to swing the...

Help me resolve a 13yr old problem!! [I'm desperate] Garage access

Hi Everyone, Little bit of background.... We purchased our house 13 years ago, and negotiated a £10k discount due to an access issue regarding our garage. This wasn't long after we'd moved in, so we were lucky the builders didn't just say tough luck! The problem can't be shown on the photo...
