    Thanks Dan. im located in cheshunt, I did have someone from the waterboard come out in the summer to check the mains preassure and they said it was fine and within there tollerances.

    Update. As it was suggested that with the current doors even with insulation it would be a pointless excercise, and as I didnt want to have to mess around with putting up studwork that had to be removed if I wanted to convert the garage back to normal use I have decided to go down the route...
