    Toddler has been at the dial and been turning it the wrong way, it now turns freely although does catch to set a program after a couple of turns, but doesn't stop at the end of a program. Hoping someone will be able to tell me how I can fix this myself :mrgreen:

    Thanx gcol, but the rest of the vinyl is already laid, I was just replacing a couple of strips that had got badly scratched (10 min job me thought...yeah right :lol: ) If I use the compound (don't know what that is but I'm sure the nice man in the diy shop will point me in the right direction)...

    I need to fill a hole in my floor, its brown council style tiles, a few have come up and replacing them isn't an option without pulling up more floor and risking more damage. Just need it smooth so I can put vinyl on top. What can I fill it with?

    I have a simalar situation, bathroom, no tiles and kids, so to keep the walls dry for the time being I've fitted a shower curtain across the wall.

    The instructions for my ceiling fan say there should be 3 or 9 wires coming from the ceiling but i've counted 11. Could someone tell me where to reconnect them all to. 3 x yellow/green 2 x red 1 yellow with red sleeving 2 x black 1 blue 1 red/1 blue with red sleeving connected together

    I've never encountered any problems as yet but I've only ever filled little holes with it, suppose it would be a pain on bigger jobs

    mapj1...thanx for your help :D , that's what I managed to find out from the fire officer at work today too, but confusion came from there being no washers and I didn't feel happy about wrapping it round the screws myself as that seemed a sure fire way to fry myself :shock: . Anyway, smiled...

    Have photo :D , lost usb cable :( Will post it soon as I find the cable again, but its box with 3 screws up either side, earth on bottom right, live and neutral on 1st and second on left. Don't suppose thats much help. Its a Beko DC3511 but don't suppose thats much help either. NUked beans...

    Yes, I know it's an antique but it's mine and I love it :lol: It 's decided to only work once a day, any more and it cuts out after a few minutes. Have checked for limescale, blockages, wiring, but no luck. Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong with it?

    My toilet is leaking from where it is fixed to the floor, it's especially bad after being cleaned. I'm assuming that its a seal somewhere that needs replacing. Could somebody advise me about how to deal with the problem?
