Sorry to be a pain, but after i have driled the holes for the frame ties and put the wall plugs in, what is the best type of screw to use or will any do? I also forgot to mention that it is a cavity wall so i presume i will need to use wall ties at every other level too to tie in with the 2nd...

regarding the frame ties should these be drilled into existing brickwork before anything is laid and is it a case of one of the ends sitting on the block and then the mortar going on top of it. Sorry if this is a stupid question as you can probably tell this is my first time bricklaying. Thanks
