Changing Danfoss TP9000/5000 to Drayton Wiser Kit 3

Thanks, that makes sense. What I can't understand is the wiring for the old TP5000. The TP9000 sits in a cupboard near the Danfoss WB12 wiring, so the Wiser hub will replace the 9000 fine, but the TP5000 is two floors up. If I remove the 5000, how do I switch that valve on and off without...

Changing Danfoss TP9000/5000 to Drayton Wiser Kit 3

So you'd recommend connecting the valves and replace the TP9000 with the Wiser, instead of wiring the Wiser directly to the boiler? Your advice about the building regs is excellent, much appreciated. We've just bought the place, so suspect we'll be here a while, but I'll keep tabs on what I...

Changing Danfoss TP9000/5000 to Drayton Wiser Kit 3

Sorry to resurrect this thread, just a quick question. I have a near-identical setup and also want to replace with Wiser. But I don't care about the ridiculous 3rd zone (the heating for just one bedroom!). So I want just two zones - heating and water - and need to somehow combine both existing...

    Honeywell BDR91 to Hive Combi

Hi both. I have a similar set-up - Baxi Duo Tec combi - and am going to swap the Honeywell with my old Hive tomorrow. However, the colours on my Honeywell receiver look different to yours. Is the advice from @stem still valid? Thanks a lot Will

Installing Hive to Glow Worm 28c

All done. Thanks @petit_pablo hugely for all your help. Brilliant! And nice to learn a few things along the way too. One q - why did we need to link the common with the live?

Installing Hive to Glow Worm 28c

No. I've taken it from one house to our new house, so it's not connected anywhere yet. Last question. Here's my electrics. Circled the main stuff. Do those wires currently in L and N etc stay there, and the Hive wires join them? Sorry to be such a cretin.

Installing Hive to Glow Worm 28c

Don't ask me! This is what it looked like when I took it off. So presumably I cut that black wire, and loop it into the L screw to create the link

Installing Hive to Glow Worm 28c

OK. And by "link Hive Live to Hive Common", on the Hive backplate I should screw Common into Live so they use the same socket - is that what you meant? No.1 into L, in the pic below

Installing Hive to Glow Worm 28c

Installing Hive to Glow Worm 28c

It's a good idea, one I've considered. But am extremely short of money and won't be able to afford it for a while. And I enjoy learning new things! If anyone's willing to help advise...shout.

Installing Hive to Glow Worm 28c

Hi. Our new house has a new boiler - Glow Worm Essential 28C - and I'd like to put my Hive (original version) in. I took it out of the old boiler, replacing it with the old Honeywell stat, but am a bit confused by the new boiler's wiring. The manual (here) talks about external controllers...

Dishwasher and washing machine outflow into one drain

Hi, Simple question really - our washing machine outflows into a vertical drain pipe with a hose which looks like this: I want to install a (tabletop) dishwasher and dump the hose down the same drain. Its hose will probably look a lot smaller than this one, and it won't have the same...

Pressure and flow issue with Worcester Greenstar 30CDi

Simon, Just checked the valves on the cylinders. All are fully open. The tanks were replaced three weeks ago but she had this problem before the new ones came, and after, when the new ones were full. Supply doesn't seem to be the problem - unless a leak has sprung. What I don't understand...

Pressure and flow issue with Worcester Greenstar 30CDi

Hi, Sorry for such a newbie question. My mother has a Worcester Greenstar 30CDi. We've had a lot of strange errors pop-up on the display lately, and the hot bath water doesn't work when at full flow. 1) The pressure gauge on the boiler is now lower than 1. From memory, when installed...
