I have an open drain under my cellar floor which always has some water in it. If I empty it, it will fill up in 24 hours, regardless of rainfall. I'd like to know what it's connected to... I know where all the drains run from my guttering and waste. - They're all at least 6ft higher than this...

After some neccessary work, my cellar walls are now stripped back to gritstone and lime mortar. In most areas the lime mortar is in fairly good condition, but a lot has chipped out with ease. I'd like to re-point the now missing lime mortar, stabilise the existing (good condition) mortar...
