    Changing one switch to double for extractor fan.

    You could use a 3 pole fan isolator switch, the fan would still come on with the light but could be switched off aswell. Could not be switched on on itsown though would have to be aditional switch though

    Hi, I've tested all the circuits seperately and all reading have come back fine (>500 MOhms) except the test between Neutral and Earth of one of the lighting circuits which is 9 MOhms. Does anyone know why this might be Thanks

    Painting new plaster

    you could paint first with a mist coat to reduce the absorbancy of the new plaster. mist coat - 1 part pva, 1 part emulsion, 4 parts water. careful if you are rollering though as it sprays everywhere.
