Hi i was looking at replacing the drum bearing on a hotpoint wt640 i have done a couple before on different models, having a look at the drum it appears to clip together. before i spend time on taking the drum out i thought i would check and see if it is easy enough to split the drum? thanks Al

It was a red one the same as the one i took off the door locks when i select a program it just wont start any of the cycles. The door light keeps flashing. thanks A.

hi the door handle is fine i fixed the spring that was a bit worn also replace the door switch. nothing happens when i slam the door. There is some chairing just above the large block on picture 1. i will clean it up and think i might just solder the 1st black block as it is looking a bit loose...

Thanks Rock When you say i can repair the tracks with a soldering iron. what am i looking for on the board. there are a 3 small black bars on the back just up from one of the cable blocks they have a bit of black soot round them is this what you are talking about? Thanks again A.

OK checked the wiring and the switch all looks good i guess it might just be a duff switch on the door. Is there a way of checking the door switch to see if it is that before i go out and get another one?

hi all , I have just replace the bearings on a Hotpoint wma35 and when putting it all back together i have purple and green wire with a spade end spare. one end is connected to the heater element. any idea where to connect it to? thanks Al
