Just checked through my loft and unfortunate it is not possible. The sofit is approx 2m below my loft floor and although it is visible it is un-accessible. Thanks.

I think it was more a case of him not being bothered changing it. As you say he must have known!! ok so i need to replace the motorised valve. Roughly how much am would this cost. On the net you can get them for slighltly less than £100 so im guessing a plumber would charge around £150...

yes my boiler is brand new but the motorised valves are not? When I just moved into the house and the old boiler was there it had the same problem of not swicthing off. So im guessing the problem of the valve has been like this for a while - long before I got the plumber to change the boiler...
