    Solid Oak Floor - fix

As already mentioned, it's well done but some of the panels are 'bouncy'.

Is it possible to take the boards apart now that they've been glued without wrecking them?

    Solid Oak Floor - fix

Hi all Girlfriend made a start on the hallway flooring without really thinking/knowing what to do while I was away. Before slating the job itself, it is actually quite well done aside from the fact that it hasn't been done properly... if that makes any sense. Essentially, the floor has...

    Best boiler for £1000-£1500 (fitted)

If he doesn't have one is he legally prohibited from carrying out boiler repairs? I doubt the letting agent will have instructed him if he wasn't official. I would ask but to be honest I'd rather just move on from the experience; I don't have time to be taking poople to court and it's not likely...

    Best boiler for £1000-£1500 (fitted)

I wish! It's a let property - same one I posted about regarding dodgy engineer repairs. Chaffoteaux & Maury mx2 24

Thanks for your reply Tony. We were recommended this engineer through a letting agent so assume he must be official even though his work doesn't follow. Is it possible he just had a really bad day? Or should no gas engineer be expected to let something like this happen (because of safety...

    Chaffoteaux & Maury mx2 24

Hi all Bit of a disaster with the above boiler today. It had recently started playing up and regularly cutting out so we called in a local gas engineer to have a look. Apparently he first diagnosed the problem as 2 ignition leads which he duly replaced but the boiler continued to encounter...
