Point accepted about the sparky having to test etc. However I am supplying the CU + 100A isolator and have fitted both to the wall. The spark will have to discon the old one and connect new tails to the isolator and terminate the old circuits into the new CU.

I am getting a sparky in to replace and move my CU (as i have converted my garage by putting in some stud walls). The CU will now reside inside the new room that has been built. my question is, do i have to notify that I am changing the CU??? If I have, then this may cause a slight problem...

I have put in a switched fused unit, then the RCD.....probably belt and braces, but it does allow me to isolate the sub-circuit Hmmm.... on reflection, I will probably not use the immersion circuit, for the simple reason that acccess is awkward. There is a 13A socket beside the airing cupboard...

Thanks for the reply. I had intended to put a switched spur to the shower pump off a nearby socket (or off the immersion heater point....would that be better??). I take it that there will then be no need to have a pull switch in the bathroom??? I don't think so. The main CU doesn't have...
