    Definately build up with plywood, for several reasons. It will be easy and cleaner, and much warmer on bare feet in the winter time!

    As Chappers says stick it down with a good bead of silicone and it's unlikely to wander to far! Silicone can be a very good glue in the right conditions, if finished of well it looks good too. Good luck.

    Thanks for your reply, have been to Topp's and bought some resin grout to go round loo area only, finished rest of floor with waterproof grout, looks great. Resin grout incredibly hard and not particularly easy to work with either. Thanks again. Could you recommend a water proofing agent? :?:

    silicone sealant - quest for a perfect bead

    A bit late to reply I know, when I do a silicone bead instead of drawing the gun backwards leaving a trail of silicone I push the gun forwards, this way the nozzle forms a perfectly cupped profile of bead behind it that needs no finishing. :wink:

    Remove metal marks on tiles

    you could try a green pot scouring pad, these are very good for removing all kinds of stains without damaging the base material. Another alternative would be a lightly abrasive cream/polish like brasso or "solvol autsol" available from any good car shop. Best of luck. :idea:

    waterproof grout for bathroom floor

    Just fitted new bathroom and next job is to tile floor with 12" sq sheets of 15mm sq glass mosaic. Once laid I intend to grout with white (or as near as possible) grout. However, my concern is that bathroom is mainly used by our two boys who are not a "good aim" at night and in the dark! How can...
