okay fair enough, but just after boiler got fixed??? what do you think about the boiler cold main isolation valve and the water flowing to fast for boiler picasso?

cheaper to run from the cold supply and let the appliance heat the water, then you dont fill how ever many meters of hot pipework with hot water that wont get used.

the flow rate through the tap is probably due to the tap, ikea are s**t. imagine running a hose pipe and the waters not running that fast nip the end hey presto its an illusion less flow more pressure but you'll think its great cause its firing out.

And if it is the tap why wasnt it doing it before the engineer fixed the boiler???

look at the medium and high pressure taps, didnt see any with check valves required, only looked at 10.

think there's a grub screw under here either allen or flat head, handle comes off the washers disc's whatever its got, should give a clear shot right through to the back of tap, turn the water off before proceeding with this or you'll get wet

central heating expansion vessel's in some boilers are silver! white for solar thermal installation, there are blue aswell. probably not good to mix i guess if you put a red(central heating) on domestic the internal of the vessel may rust, they will be made of different metals/alloys and rubber...

how is it going to back feed its the same pressure just different flow rates. the tap also should mix at the spout not within the body so it cant back flow

the pressures are both mains so should be relativley the same so back pressure even with a mixer tap that mixes within the body of the tap is unlikley, the mains cold isolation valve on boiler may have been adjusted after install then when the bloke came to repair he shut it to change parts and...

that boiler is a piece of cheap s*it, worth nothing but scrap, cant handle high flow rate through boiler, just cant heat the water up fast enough, some have a go hero(6month plumber/gas man) fitted it in my private rented house, cheap as chips! try reducing the isolation valve on the cold mains...

if you use the shower pump for boosting all hot water outlets, what about the pipe that comes out of it and goes to the shower(cold) that wont have anywhere to go when you run a tap so the pump will be pumping to nothing on cold water side probably causing it to fail
