Thanks that’s great advice. PS I’m assuming this is a 15mm supply but I could be wrong ! It’s clearly seen better days too.

So. Some more numbers. as a reminder : static measures: my garden tap gave me 33L/m (single outlet) and my bathtub cold gave me 22L/m (as single outlet) For dynamic measures: Utility room (single outlet) gave me 13.5 L/m with the utility tap on max, the bath tub gave me 17.6 L/m and causes...

Re the outside run of pipes - itd only be 1-2 metres. Are there standards or aspirations for lagging pipes / boxing them in so they’re not an eye sore ?

Thanks for the replies. I’ve done some flow measures. My outside garden tap gives 33 l/m and my bath cold tap gives me 21 l/m I take the point about the plumber not taking any measurements and I will get them back before I agree to any work. I don’t understand really what upgrading the supply...

    Best solution to improving DHW

Hi. Had a large plumbing company come out today. They didn’t take any formal measurements but felt I had adequate mains cold water pressure. He didn’t say anything about the fact my stopcock and internal pipe work is all 15mm. My combi is a baxi duo tec 40 hea which is 5 yrs old. he suggested I...

Orisec alarm (badged as CSM) - controlplus app

Yeh I just downloaded it this week. In the settings I can’t see any way of inputting an IP address or anything so I’ve no idea how it’s meant to work remotely, but the app details in the App Store shows it does. Can’t find very much online at all about this app.

Orisec alarm (badged as CSM) - controlplus app

It’s not that I’m not telling full story, I’ve only had this system in a week so still figuring it out. I was told that with the installation it comes with one year of app service included. The app works well when I’m at home but if I try to connect remotely it has an error message (see below)

Orisec alarm (badged as CSM) - controlplus app

@secureiam thanks for the help. I bought it from CSB services, the package gives us one year app use included in the price. I’m wondering if they haven’t updated my account hence why it won’t work remotely. I’ll call them in morning and let you know, fingers crossed it’s just an oversight Thanks

Orisec alarm (badged as CSM) - controlplus app

hi Had this alarm fitted and have an iOS app called ControlPlus which works with the system inside the house. The alarm has a Wi-fi connection to my router. Outside the house, the app doesn’t function. It can’t connect. Does anyone know how to configure the control unit or the app to work...

    Heating valve stuck open

i have two danfoss hpa2 valves. The downstairs one keeps sticking open. When the down stat isn’t demanding heat, the lever of the downstairs valve doesn’t fall all the way to the right (the closed position). Please see short video. The upstairs valve lever is free and falls all the way to the...

    Central heating overheating

Also in response to the question above, the lounge heaters are not heating when the “other” zone is heating. I haven’t been able to identify any link between the two zones heating behavioural.

    Central heating overheating

As for TRVs I do have them but not on the two lounge heaters that are sticking on. I will do that about feeling the pipe. First job I have is to find the dam valves! There’s some boxing in the downstairs loo which I think contains them. I assume I will have two motorised valves, one for each...

    Central heating overheating

Ok so I have just got home to find the lounge temp well above the set point and the radiators hot. The other zone is above temp (lounge warming the hallway) but atleast the heaters are cold. I’m not sure if that proves or disproves a link between the two zones but I’d be happy to do more...

    Central heating overheating

Hi. No, in the lounge, the heaters are not on 24/7. The programmer in the lounge varies the temp about 4 times during the day. However, once the heaters get stuck on, they won’t go off until I turn off the boiler. So after a reset, the heaters might function correctly for one or two temp...
