Safety Thermostat Fault - Potterton Promax Combi HE Plus

Engineer just away - circulation issue right enough and turns out it was the pump, which they bled & adjusted and now working fine again. Got a good price for them to replace if necessary and will monitor for now. Thanks again for taking the time to help! Really appreciate it

Safety Thermostat Fault - Potterton Promax Combi HE Plus

Thanks again Terry - managed to get an engineer so will see what comes next. The central heating pipes are internal with no cellar but are against the outside wall so inlet water pipe is very cold but don't think it's frozen. Here's hoping something straightforward!

Safety Thermostat Fault - Potterton Promax Combi HE Plus

Thanks Terry - I've just sussed that the condensate pipe is going to drain on the inside of the house at the sink waste so doubt it can be that, that was frozen. Apologies should've picked that up before posting. The one I was looking at earlier is the pressure relief right enough. D'oh! Can...

Safety Thermostat Fault - Potterton Promax Combi HE Plus

Thanks Terry - I know most condensate pipes are plastic but this one seems to be copper. The only pipes at the back of it going outside are that one, the water drain valve and the exhaust from the burner so can't see there being one I'm missing. The pressure when off is sitting at 1 bar and the...

Hi folks, Looking for some advice on how to change the batteries on the wireless PIR's connected to a Risco Lightsys2 system? Can't see anything in the user guide or online manuals that I can find. Assuming that the system will need to be in some kind of engineer mode to avoid a tamper...

    Potential CH problem?

Thanks pal - yes it's a one radiator zone for the living room alone and no TRV fitted to it. Would be surprised if it was sludged as the house and system is only two years old?? That said, it's worked perfect previously and been roasting so somethings not right. The rest of the house seems...

    Potential CH problem?

Cheers - apologies for all the questions, but would that still be the way to check even though the living room radiator is in its own zone?

    Potential CH problem?

Cheers Ian - apologies but I'm a total newbie to this, what's involved with balancing the system? Is that something I can do myself?

    Potential CH problem?

Hi, looking for some advice as to whether I might have a problem with my central heating. Boiler is an Ideal Logic Heat 15 and is running a 2 zone system (living room & rest of house) with Danfuss thermostats. Only 2 years old in a new build house. Problem I seem to be having is when I turn...

    Jammed UPVC window lock

Thanks Footprints, managed to get a flat head screwdriver into the gap at the bottom of the window then manoeuvred it up until it hit the mushroom and sprung it up...hey, presto - window open! Now it's open, I can see that when I close the handle the bottom mushroom and lever bar go down, but...

    Jammed UPVC window lock

Hi there, was looking for any advice on the best way to manipulate the opening of a jammed UPVC window lock. Having taken a good look at it, the handle is still operating the middle lock and top slide mushroom as I can flex the window outwards a few mill at those points when the handle is in...

Hi there, hope someone could help me with any advice and/or tips in replacing the heat canister in a 9.5Kw triton inscriptions shower? Was using the shower the other day when it tripped the RCD and on resetting found that the shower was running cooler on the higher setting. Have ran through...
