    replacing a danfos hs3

Thanks for comments. By 'bungs' do you mean bunging the end of all three 22mm connections that go into the valve. I hope this would be easier than draining down the whole lot. Would you expect any pressure to be there or would the water just drain out until its found its own level? Thanks.

    replacing a danfos hs3

Have a danfos hs3 3-way motorised valve. Have been limping through with it for the last few months because it has not been opening to the c/h fully, the internals of the motorised head have worn and so has the sppindle which turns the valve. My question is: when I get a replacement valve is it a...

    BROKEN PULLEY ON INDESIT WASHER

Hi. Have got an Indesit wg1130t washer. Has been making a rythmic tapping + scraping noise for past few weeks. This morning, wife turned washer on and it sounded like an high pitched drill with the drum not moving. Have taken the back off and found that the pulley has sheared off from its...

    Moving Danfos Set5 Programmer

The flex from the Danfos junction box to the programmer has a 5 core flex (blue, yellow, red, thicker red,and brown). I'm moving the programmer 3-4 metres and need new flex, with the new electricity cable/colours changed what is the direct replacement for what I already have or is this flex...

    Faulty Danfos HS3

Hi, have looked on previous topics but just wanted confirmation. Have Danfos HS3 3-way valve run with a Danfos Set5 programmer. When hot water is requested valve runs smoothly but when heating required the valve seems to get stuck and you have to manually push down lever to get boiler/pump to...

    'Bubbling' vinyl flooring

Hi, have had vinyl flooring laid in a new conservatory which runs straight through into my kitchen but it has started to bubble up in various places. Having had the fitter back 3 times to refit decided to call manufacturers who have sent an independent expert to examine and he has said that the...

    Burglar alarms

The battery I've actually found on the net is a Yuasa NP2.1-12 which is actually the same as the one taken out for £10.95. I'll try this and keep fingers crossed. Thanks all.

    Burglar alarms

Have removed battery and the tamper light has gone out now, the only lights on are power and day, these are the normal lights when alarm is unset. Live in NE Lincs.

    Burglar alarms

Will change anyway as it's become a nuisance. The alarm company said that any recurring alarms were due to a faulty battery and I've just looked at it and it was installed Aug 1994. Didn't know if anything would need 'resetting' with the alarm recognising a new battery?? Thanks

    Burglar alarms

Don't know if this is the right place but my burglar alarm has recently started to go off without reason with the 'tamper' light on indicating a fault with the battery or an attempt to disconnect/disable the alarm. Rang installation company, (installed 9yrs ago), and they said that the 'tamper'...

    ventilation 'bricks' ??

Ok, that's fair enough. I'm replacing the fire shortly and redecorating and just wandered when I decorate if I can block the 'vent' up. When i get a new fire will that specify whether i need ventilation or not?

    Indesit washing machine

Indesit washing machine today decided not to work on it's 'normal' programme. It's about 6yrs old and got stuck about 1/4 of it's way through the programme. Got it to the end of it's cycle, emptied/spun, removed items of clothing and tried again empty - still nothing. Started it empty on another...

    ventilation 'bricks' ??

But surely all gas fires whatever make/model emit gases etc and need air replacement if that's the case.

    electrical interference?? on tv etc.

Its a noise of interference like when you are tuning in a tv and its searching for channels. The boiler firing theory sounds credible though because obviously that's on in the evening mainly, when we are watching tv/radio in the kitchen. What, if any is the cure?

    ventilation 'bricks' ??

I know other people obviously with gas fires and they don't have any sort of ventilation in their walls. My next door neighbour has nothing in her front room wall for ventilation. Is it purely for air replacement?

    ventilation 'bricks' ??

I have in my living room outside wall at skirting board level a 'ventilation' brick which consists of a 3 or 4" diameter hole through the wall with a flyscreen cover on the outside and inside. This causes draughts in cold/windy weather. I have concrete floors and a living flame fire in the room...

    electrical interference?? on tv etc.

Don't know whether this is right place..... When tv is on in kitchen it keeps intermittently getting some sort of interference, the same with my young daughters baby monitor, same with my radio as well. It probably happens every minute or so for about 5 secs. I don't know whether it's...

    Flooring

Thanks, I'm having a good quality thick vinyl laid anyway so it should be ok. The conservatory will have a dwarf wall and there will also be heating added later, so exposure to temperature extremes should be minimal.

    Flooring

Hi there, i'm currently having a conservatory built which will be continous through from my kitcken and I'm having a vinyl flooring. What, if any, is the best way to insulate a concrete floor before having the vinyl put down. Thanks. MOD moved as posted in wrong forum
