    dimensions/defenition of handrail

Fair point, but the guidance does say that the top of the guarding can form the handrail, I'm asking what that would look like as we're trying to keep the aesthetic lines as clean as possible around the guarding which is all smooth and solid.... Is there a 'standard' way of doing this, as it...

    dimensions/defenition of handrail

Thanks for the quick reply. I really appreciate it because I've been looking at an old 1998 spec (don't know where I found that)... I'm not sure it answers wholly for two reasons, 1. The diagram is referred to/from 1.36 - 'For buildings other than dwellings' (and mine is a dwelling) 2...

    Frozen condensate pipe....

Sorry for renewing this old thread but.. was shocked last night to find my condensate outlet had frozen. I'm in South Wales and it's been below 0 for a few days now. Last night my thermostat on window sill (so surely a little warmer than ambient) got down to -7. I don't think this is a problem...

DPM over concrete + stud walls + toilet = trouble?

How'd you get on? Would love to know what you did and if it worked? I've got similar problems with similar 'unconventional' solutions :D Especially like the idea of the air channel around the edge. Did it work? Thanks.
