worcester bosch HF 400 RSF whistles

without doubt its the gas/water heat exchanger, they sometimes do it and only on hw as it's only then it fires at full rate, best bet would be to replace it,or try flushing the system then adding an inhibitor.

    Droning noise - boiler

they may be factory set but site conditions vary, the inlet gas working pressure needs to be at least 18.5mbar,if this cant be achieved then you will never get the correct levels,as for the valve you are on about,it's actually a diaphragm it doesn't control the air,it's there to stop condensate...

    Droning noise - boiler

It sounds as though the co2 levels are set incorrectly, only a problem on hw as it then fires at maximum rate, the installers should of set it up and time of installation with an analyser, cant set it up any other way,hw release from 5.00 just means hw is available from that time just like an...

    Worcester Combi Boiler

ah yes I think we all have those moments, going in too deep at the start!I would change the whole valve too,not too bad a job to do,a whole lot better than a plate heat exchanger on a highflow 400!!. __________________________ moderator locked to prevent hi jacking

    Worcester Combi Boiler

ollski I am worried about you if you can't see why the diaphragm is the problem??its 99% certain its the diaphragm, its the diaphragm that lifts the spindle to make contact with the microswitch when the diaphragm is pushed up with water flow,if it's torn it cant lift can it,and trust me i know...

    Worcester Combi Boiler

yep I agree it's more than likely the diaphragm in the diverter valve, sometimes its a lot easier to replace the whole diverter valve as the 9.24 is getting on now and those lovely little screws are a swine,so get the diverter valve replaced.

worcester 240 combi keep losing pressure please help

You need to make sure that your filling loop is off and disconnected,if the pressure still rises the expansion vessel diaphragm has probably failed as the water has nothing to expand against, the prv is set at 3 bar and will lift to releave excess pressure, these never really reseat very well,call...

    worcester junior 24i/ noise.

try turning the pump speed down to setting 2,the pump is only used on ch the pump stops on hot water demand and being as you only have four radiators it really doesnt need to be so high, the junior uses a four pipe heat exchanger so the pump is not needed for hw, so thats why its a perfectly good...

    28CDi RSF, Worcester

yes they have to be corgi registered, but I doubt very much a service will solve it,there is obviously a fault as the diagnostics are showing that on your boiler,an ignition lockout fault won't be cured by a service unless the minimum gas is set too low, just take the bull by the horns and get it...

    28CDi RSF, Worcester

if its the ch light flashing slow its ignition lockout, could be a couple of things, gas valve drooping out, flame sense electrode dirty, not always detecting flame,or it could be a pcb problem, best bet call worcester out £175 includes call out,and up to 3 parts and they will have all parts and know...

    Worcester Junior 24i combi

its quite simple, the junior uses a 4 pipe heat exchanger the pump switches off on a hot water demand, its quite ok to turn the pump down as it only runs the ch which will have a small load, and as its a junior i would not expect you to have a huge system, another fix would be to change the head of...
