Hi, Here are some more pics. So far I have put the rubber seal in the middle (where there seems to be a slot for it and that's where the seal was when I first unscrewed it) and screwed it into the female so it is tight, then screwed up the knurled ring. Will keep monitoring for leaks.

If you block the bit where the roof meets the inner or outer wall, you will be blocking the eaves. That is how I read it and that is not good. This will lead to poor ventilation in your loft unless you ventilate in other ways.

Will this not give you a warm loft and cold house? Kind of defeating the objective i.e. keeping the heat in the main house and living areas. My advice would be to increase insulation at the loft floor, granted in maybe a pain.
