Hi, thanks for replying. I've looked in the 'white box' above the keypad. This has an electrical wire and a speaker. Can't for the life of me, see a battery, unless its hidden under the speaker (which doesn't want to come out). ?

sorry, not made myself clear. There is no space for a battery inside as far as i can see (unless it is a tiny battery hidden away)

thanks for taking time to reply. The green light is flashing on unset. As far as I'm aware, I've looked a couple of times, there is no battery inside and it is wired to the mains (the smoke alarms have a battery and are wired to the mains) . Sounds like I might need an electrician out?

you are of course absolutley correct. I had to wait till the weekend to test. It beeps in series of 10 short sharp sounds. So does that mean a tamper fault? And what does a tamper fault mean? resetting the system? thanks for your help

Its a constant series of short sharp beeps, that doesn't change in pitch or length

Moved into new house in 2002 with Veritas alarm. When setting the alarm, it makes a series of beeps, then should stop, when you have left the house. Now, it continually beeps when being set and doesn't stop after a period. Not sure which model it is. Have a copy manual and have tried...

changed the bulb for above. Now the light is on constantly. Have tried adusting sensitivity and timing settings and switching off for 10 seconds plus then back on again (to reset Manual Overide) but no joy. Any ideas. Light is probably a year or two old.
