    Pva new plaster before painting - or not!

    I have done similar research into this and one reason for NOT using PVA was because it causes a seal and therefore traps any moisture left in the plaster

    I have actually been able to almost tear it off with the wallpaper underneath in big chunks and strips so have been quite lucky. Thanks for the tip about the spade will probably use it in the future should something similar crop up
