To blind for ground slab? (moved from Projects)

Thanks Vinn, I did think 3 layers of dpm material seemed excessive!

To blind for ground slab? (moved from Projects)

Hi, just wondering if any one could help with a question I have. We are part way through our extension project, underfloor heating pipe work to go down this weekend. Originally was going to have dpm, 100mm of subfloor concrete slab, 25mm blinding sand, more dpm, 100mm celotex board, then...

    Vaillant facelift

When did Vaillant change the look of Ecotec range, I thought it was 2012ish? Just serviced a 637 according to the boiler info the customer had it was fitted 2007. They have just moved in so have inherited the boiler and paperwork. It's the first one I've seen, was quite impressed, the pipe work...

    Kingfisher MF RSL80

Hi Everyone, Just been to see a Kingfisher MF that ends up faulting to lock out 2/3 times a day, unfortunately it was behaving when I got there. I just ran the "s plan" on hot water only and restricted the gate valve on the cylinder to slow the flow down thinking I could mimic a circulation...

C plan to S plan fully pumped

No worries mr! Most modern boilers detect how much pressure they have in them, this is one of the reasons they are more efficient as water heats up better under pressure. Your boiler doesnt have this so we could run the system with very little pressure so not to put strain on old pipework. If...

C plan to S plan fully pumped

    1. pressure gauge 2. expanssion vessel 3. pressure relief pipe 4. temporary filling loop 5. auto air vent This way you could get rid of the small F and E tank in the loft. Also the vent pipe could be cut down and have an auto air vent fitted. The cold feed could be turned into cold mains...

C plan to S plan fully pumped

Ive fitted M valves to the returns when you can't get to some of the pipework (tiled, real wood floors). Basically when it looks like your job. If the M valves failed and they were on the flow they would hold the water back from the tank. so little pumping over would occur. I didn't think...

C plan to S plan fully pumped

If you move the M valves on to the return pipes this would work as the boiler still has an unrestricted passage from flow to vent. If M valves ever failed the pump would push water into F and E tank at quite a rate. Might be worth upgrading overflow to larger diameter. With this arrangement you...

    Hot water priority !!

Fair enough. But I think if you check out the MI for the uniSTOR they ask for thier 2xport valve to be fitted, and don't give a wiring instruction for a 3 port.

PRV Pipe Dripping Badly On Turbomax

Some prvs come apart and some dont, but most are in stock and dont cost too much.

PRV Pipe Dripping Badly On Turbomax

When you have turned the boiler valves off and drained the boiler this is when you can test the pressure of the vessel it won't matter if the prv is passing. But before you do any of this turn the red top of the prv and shoot some water through, then turn all the way until it "clunks" a few...

Toilet Venting issue i think ?? help?

I think you already have by allowing the air in to the wast pipe the blockage drains away. The vent pipe should really come off the system that is furthest away from the main drain outside the house, to avoid your issue.
