I am not hell bent on getting it replaced, just replying swiftly to those who are very kind in helping me try to sort out the problem. Though the fault is abit annoying as everytime the hotwater is called for, the drip gets worse and has already filled the bowl and spilled over the work surface...

I thought that but it is not. The pipework above is bone dry. When the hot water is turned on, the water comes out of the side port. It's a good few years old now. ;)
