    shower question

Hello I thought I would see if anyone can answer what is probably a silly question but I am a novice to this! I am about to have a new shower installed - planning on having a recessed mixer valve shower with a slider rail (I don't want it just fixed) and I have been looking around at which...

    replacing bathroom tiles

I did think of this, but I don't really like the positions that the patterned tiles are in. There are some in more inconspicuous places so I might try one of them for starters and see how I get on......... Thanks all!

How to put a mixer shower above my bath

Could the bath be moved away from the wall enough to fit a false panel to cover the shower pipes?

    replacing bathroom tiles

thanks for the replies no I don't have the same batch. I was thinking maybe if I take the old ones off first then take a piece of one of them into a shop to match? (the flower is printed onto the same white background) I will have to make sure I can find the same size/depth of tile of course.

How to put a mixer shower above my bath

Thanks, it is a solid wall. I am not sure what the best solution is in that case! I currently have a mixer tap and shower that sits on top and I just sit and use it in the bath, which is ok but not ideal, especially when guests use it and flood the bathroom (I am quite careful!). would be nice...

    replacing bathroom tiles

Hello My bathroom has mostly white tiles but there are about 30 tiles with a flower pattern which I don't like, scattered amongst the white ones. As I don't have a great deal to spend, I would like to keep the white tiles as they are in good condition and look fine, but get rid of the flowers...

How to put a mixer shower above my bath

HI I have tried to upload a diagram but not sure if it has worked or how you get to it! Thanks Tony, it is an internal wall, and is currently tiled (don't really want to remove the tiles, but I guess might be necessary?) That was really what I was wondering if an alternative supply could...

How to put a mixer shower above my bath

Thanks What I am trying to find out if it is possible is to have the shower on the back wall opposite the taps, then I can have a glass shower screen. I think if the shower was mounted on the side wall adjacent to where the taps are it would make a lot of mess with the water when showering. I...

How to put a mixer shower above my bath

Thanks - but where would the shower head be fixed to the wall? maybe I didn't explain it clearly but the taps are at the open end of the bath, not against a wall.

How to put a mixer shower above my bath

Hi I hope I am posting in the right place, couldn't see anything more relevant than this category. I have an enamel bath with a mixer tap at one end. I want a shower but the end of the bath that the taps on is an open end (the toilet is next to it) and the end of the bath opposite the taps...

    wet shed roof

unfortunately my camera is broken so can't put any pictures up. Do you think it is ok to leave it with the exposed wood until the weekend when my boyfriend can help me work on it? I can cover it with the tarp. I am just worried about it getting worse during that time, if water gets under the...

    wet shed roof

yeah a bit like weetabix! I'm not sure it is a job i can do myself, definitely not on my own anyway. I am really unexperienced DIY-er - my boyfriend helped me take the felt off and he could prob do it but he is working full time and hasn't the time really. Maybe I need to pay someone to come do...

    wet shed roof

Hi thanks for your reply. It is sheeting. I just went to have a look at it and I leant on a part of the frame (around the edge of the roof) and the wood just fell off! I think parts of it are rotten - the wood is kind of flaking away. I have taken the tarp off as it is sunny and it might dry...

    wet shed roof

I have a bad leak in my shed, and figured the roofing felt needs replacing. I removed all the old felt and there are large patches of damp wood underneath. As it is the winter I fear there isn't much chance of these drying out but didn't think it was a good idea to put the new felt down on top...
