Hi All, I've been asked to flood some Cat 5e into a house where the previous builder went bust half way through the job. He had a "unique" way of working in the sense that most of the work has to be redone, including damp proof courses. I'll post pictures of some of the electrics at a later...

    sime boiler knocking off

Strange you have to restart the boiler, so i have to agree with Agile that it would point to the PCB. Have the same boiler myself, sounds nothing similar i've had to contend with!! Looking at the fault chart though, given what you've said, first call is replace the C.H thermistor then the...

removing burglar alarm?? plus fitting a new one

Depends on what you're willing to do/capable of doing.... If you feel comfortable climbing ladders to take the lid off the outside bellbox, bearing in mind you may get blasted with 120 dB, do so then remove the battery/ cut the 12v multicore leading in. If its been wired for tamper (doubt it...

    Diverter valve problem

    1. Did you replace the entrie valve or just the diaphram inside? Sounds as though the diaphram isn't centered properly. 2. My valve leaked a little at the microswitch end initially but cleared up quickly...it is just a nylon seal at that part.

    Format 80 C Divertor Problem

Hi guys. Hot water stopped working this week and upon inspection found the divertor valve wasn't engaging(the little pin wasn't moving!) Bought myself a Giannoni diaphram and fitted it, old one turned out to be perished, yet still not moving. I've stripped the whole assembly, several times...
