Changed an old Led light to pendant and it keeps shorting

I recently just replaced an old LED ceiling light with a simple pendant and as soon as I switch it on it shorts. I've made sure that I kept everything in place but as soon as I switch it on, POP it trips. Pictures are attached http://imgur.com/a/UWghz, any help would be great.

Hot water isn't hot unless heating is on

Hi, we've just moved into a new house and the we've noticed that the heating is fine but the hot water only gets really hot when the heating is on. When the heating is off the hot water is tepid at best. Does anyone know what would be causing this?
