    Sorry for late update... New cap and washer arrived promptly, when I took out the old one the washer had all but disintegrated. New one has completely fixed the leak. Huge thanks to everyone who commented! Tom

    I feel I should add that the dripping only happens when the boiler is on. When it's off a drop forms very very slowly. I don't know if this helps in the diagnosis.

    Well I've ordered the part (screw cap and washer). Access is tricky but enough to get a cup and towel under to mop up a 'small amount' of water. I'll power it all off, have common sense in mind and keep 'em peeled for leaks afterwards....

    hello I have a ten year old Glow worm 30 SXI boiler that has been working fine. Today it started to leak one drip a second and I have located this as coming from the condense trap cap (blue colour). I can buy a new cap and seal for next to nothing. My question can I simply remove the old one...

    Thanks for the help - I think that drawing is exactly what i have. I'm just off to work but will look in detail later. I just wanted to add that the fan controller has a built in double pole isolator. This then goes in to a fuse, then the transformer. I got this from the manual. Cheers

    I could, and I fear I"lll have to. Would I then need to take the neutral back from the controller to the fan? This would involve quite messy rewiring though I guess? Thanks for replying
