Help with Salamander RP75PT Twin Pump

Hi, yes there is indeed a small crossover between the hot and cold sides of the pump, this will allow excess pressure to be relived from what we class as the closed head side of the pump (the tap that's turned off between the hot and cold taps if only one is in use) it also replenished that side...

Slow filling toilet cistern and mains pressure not brilliant

I agree with Londoner and Madrab, personally i would get some figures of your flow rates at a few taps and see what you are getting and possibly get a pressure reading with a gauge if possible. if they appear low, give us a call on 01915162002 as we might have a solution. ken

    Shower pump problem

Just to add a bit of advice as the manufacturer, This pump requires a minimum natural flow of 2 litres per minute individually on hot or cold to activate the pump, 4 litres per minute combined flow with the shower on a mixed setting. This can usually be achieved where the cold water cistern is...

    Salamander pump pulsing

Good Morning, The first question to ask is whether you get issues with both showers or just one? if only one shower, pumps good but theres another issue. The good news is that if it works most of the time, its highly unlikely to be a mechanical issue, given it would either work or not. If the...

Salamander shower pump not working on cold

Good afternoon, If the pump activates on hot then we know that the flow switch and motor is working as expected, however not activating on the cold side could be either a natural flow issue or a flow switch. Most likely the flow isn't sufficient to lift the float and activate the pump - you...

    Shower pump cut outs

Good morning, Just to let you all know that all of our pumps up to 3bar are continuously rated. They don't have thin tubes to circulate some water around the motor, its just the design of them that allow for them to be rated in this way. Regards ken

    Negative or positive head pump

Good afternoon, Combination Fortic type cylinders shouldn't be pumped from because they usually only have around 7gal usable cold water and cant have a starvation kit attached. Usually, we would warranty a pump on a combination cylinder. regards

    fitting a shower pump

its safer to go with a negative head pump where, you are mixing pumped hot with mains cold (eg mixer shower) anywhere with a solenoid or flow restrictor like an electric shower or washing machine. anywhere where the highest point in the system is within 600mm of the base of the cold...

    Shower pump issue please help

usually a non-return valve on the hot outlet or as close to the hot outlet as you can will provide enough back pressure on the pump to stop the flow switch kicking up and activating the pump momentarily. regards

Shower Pump - In the loft

Its debatable which pump is better, that is just personal opinion. With our pumps, its fine to have them in the loft so long as there is an Essex flange fitted in the cylinder and the pump is 600mm below the bottom of the CWST. You also need to make sure the highest point in the...

How to remove a Salamander shower pump?

Good afternoon, you would need to isolate the four hoses that are connected to the pump and pipework - once this is done you can then remove the water connection for the pump and then safely remove the electrical connection. Once this is done you could link the pipework for a gravity flow of...
