No, I would never attempt to adjust the pump (i wouldn't even know where to look to be fair!) What does range rating mean?

Definately the Vaillant. We have recently had a Worcester Bosch fitted and the Flow rate is so fast, that you constantly get a terrible whooshing noise in the radiators (which were also brand new). The noise is so loud its unbearable. My Aunti has a Vaillant and she has never had any problems.

Ok, that sounds not too complicated. I'll ask my hubby to help to see if we can get this system balanced then. I can see how that will help with stopping the radiators from being scorching hot downstairs, but do you think it will help with the noise?

The required output is 13.89 KW. (Bearing in mind, I have put estimated measurements of my house size on there). If it needs balancing, how do I do that? As I said before, I can't seem to get hold of my installer anymore :cry:

We have a Worcester Bosch Greenstar 27 cdi. We didn't select this boiler specifically. This was recommended by the installer. I did ask him if it needed balancing and he said no. Could it be the pump speed?

The noise is at its worse with the Lockshield valves fully open. My husband has closed them slightly and the noise is now better. However, my downstairs radiators are scolding hot on number 4, but freezing cold on number 3. What does that mean? Number 4 is just nice warm upstairs!

The TRVs are Draytons. Is that good or bad?

Yes, the Installer came out and agreed that it's not "normal", but wasn't sure how to correct it. He thinks the water is rushing too fast through the TRV into the Radiator.
