Hi thanks for the reply. So if i find excessive amounts of the carbon dust that means the motor is finished? I did take it apart and it was very dirty/dusty so im thinking youre right

Guys I have an older Henry hoover and recently while you use it gives off a burning smell. I'm just wondering if it's the motor or another part, my assuming that it's the motor as it's the only thing that makes sense to me Any help is appreciated Thanks

Ok confirmed that it was t the carbon brushes. All fixed and working now
