Front door lock - latch won't fully open from outside using key

So I took the cylinder out and that turns fine on its own. I opened the gearbox and couldn't see anything odd or broken so sprayed a bit of lubricant on the mechanisms, reinstalled and it appears to be fine now! Didn't look too dirty but I didn't want to start taking all the pieces off. Cheers

Front door lock - latch won't fully open from outside using key

Hi all My uPVC front door has a multipoint lock (Lockmaster). The latch works fine from the inside, using the handle. However when trying to open from the outside by turning the key, the latch feels stiff and barely clears the strike plate. Takes a little force to turn the key sufficiently to...

The whole path is contained (by raised decking and steps, and the conservatory wall). Is gravel OK to...

    Garden retaining wall advice

Thanks. So what kind of cost do you think would be involved with having a new wall built etc? Cost is quite a constraint. And you're suggesting a path along the wall at 400mm lower than current depth. Would I then need a new retaining wall, albeit only 400mm, between the path and the lawn? I...

    Garden retaining wall advice

Hi all Long time lurker, first time poster here. Hope someone can help. I live in an end of terrace house, which is on a slope. Facing the front of the terrace, it slopes downhill to the left and my house is the end on the right, at the top of the hill. At some point in history the owner...
